100,000 Unique Hits!

I awoke this morning to a bunch of MSN messages with people shouting, “OMG 100k VIEWS OMG OMG OMG!!!” A bunch of my faithful staff members urged me to make a post… I really don’t think anyone will be that impressed, seeing as other sites have many more hits than we do. But, be aware that these are unique views, meaning over 100,000 different people visited Maple-News.com since January 1st (this means no refreshes or same IP addresses were counted from day to day). I think that is definitely something to be proud of. We started out with nothing, no funding (and we still have no funding), but through hard work and dedication, we made Maple-News great. I also feel tremendous pride in the fact that our site is run by kids (as in people younger than 18). Most of the MapleStory fansites out there are run by adults in their 20’s or even 30’s with money to spare on a site. We’ve truly done a lot and I’m proud and thankful to everyone who has helped us and advertised us. The one person who has always believed in us even when no one else did and when no other sites even bothered to answer our affiliation emails was Pokgai, a.k.a. Ray. He found immense interest in our site and even helped by making us a video of an interview of him. Contrary to popular belief, Ray created the video, not us. It’s time to return the favor. Thank you for always believing in us guys, and we’ll always believe in you. There’s no bullshit here and we’ll be sure to keep it that way. Can’t wait for our 1 year anniversary on June 30th, 2008! Make sure to mark your calendars because it’s going to be fuckin’ rockin’!
